  1. Please see Hangman.inf for most complete information but this will get you started:

  4. HNGMNxxx.ZIP  (xxx indicates the version number where 100 would indicate
  5.         version 1.00, 110 would indicate version 1.10, etc.)
  6.         should contain the following files:
  7.  
  8. Install.exe        Installation program
  9. Hangman.hlp        Hangman on-line help program
  10. Hangman.inf        Hangman help/information in view format. (double-click to read)
  11. Readme.txt        This file
  12. SampWord.hng        Hangman sample word list
  13. Hangfold.ico        The hangman folder icon
  14. Hangman.exe        The hangman main program.

  17.  Installation: 
  18.  
  19.   1. Go to the directory where you decompressed the Hangman package. 
  20.   2. Type Install 
  21.   3. Follow the directions on the screen. 
  22.   4. You are done! 
  23.  
  24.  Note:  Hangman uses OS/2 REXX.  REXX must be installed on your computer if you 
  25.  did not install it originally with OS/2.  Refer to your OS/2 installation manual for 
  26.  instructions on installing REXX.

  29.  Alternate Installation Method:

  31.  Installation:

  33.     Extract the archive (you probably already did that!) into a directory 
  34.  (c:\games\hangman is used in this text).  To run the game, change to that directory 
  35.  (c:\games\hangman) and type Hangman   
  36.  
  37.  To install the game onto the Presentation Manager Desktop: 
  38.  ═══════════════════════════════════════════ 
  39.     After extracting the files into a directory (see above), go back to the Desktop and 
  40.  open the "OS/2 System" folder, then the "Templates" folder, then drag a program 
  41.  template to the desktop.  The new template will then open its Settings.  You can push 
  42.  the Find button and locate C:\GAMES\HANGMAN\HANGMAN.EXE  Then page the notebook to 
  43.  the "General" page and modify the program name to Hangman  You may now start the 
  44.  game by double-clicking on the Hangman icon on the desktop.  Put the icon in a 
  45.  sub-folder if you wish.  Personally, I have it in the "Games" folder. 
  46.  
  47.  Users may also wish to set up an Association for .HNG word list files for use by Hangman.  
  48.  This is accomplished by the following steps:

  50.   1. Click with the second mouse button over your newly created Hangman icon. 
  51.   2. Open the Settings. 
  52.   3. Page to the "Associations" page. 
  53.   4. In the lower-left section of the notebook page, enter *.HNG and press Add 
  54.   5. Close Settings by double-clicking the System menu icon (upper-left corner of 
  55.      notebook)
